Eric's farm is rented from the National Trust and sits in one of the most celebrated valleys on the national park. This picture shows Pavey Arc and Harrison Stickle in the background - two of the Langdale Pikes.
Eric is one of few farmers who have a direct link with large retailers, and he sells his herdwick lamb to Booths Supermarket. He's a keen cattle breeder too and points out Galloways high on the snowy crags while we're sitting inside.
The farm also offers B&B and a holiday cottage - looking after these are mainly his wife, Sue's concern.
