Woodland Trust Cumbria | Pete Leeson Land Keepers interview
A conversation with
The Woodland Trust
Pete Leeson, Partnership Manager for the North of England
Pete Leeson works closely with farmers to develop plans for sustainable planting of trees.
The Woodland Trust looks after more than one thousand woods in the UK, and has created additional tree cover of more than 32 square kilometres. It works with community groups and schools, and inspiring people across the country to value trees, underpins its practical work. .
I would like to see a lot more woodlands planted on farms, a lot more use of woodland on farms in a positive way. But if you’re going to plant a tree in the ground, you have to look after it. There’s no sense in not doing that.
